After that, research will take place by means of X-ray/CT scan and or MRI. In addition, you will be examined for any symptoms of associated conditions. A scoliosis is a 3D rotational deformation of the spine, so all surfaces must be properly imaged. Finally, you will be physically examined at every consultation: the asymmetry of the shoulders and flank and the severity of the gibbus (rotation of the ribs/thorax) provide indications of any worsening of the curvature.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]An orthopedic surgeon can X-rays determine a scoliosis and measure the degree of bend.
