MRI Guidance to strengthen its position in the field of spine and orthopedic surgery with appointment of renowned surgeons on its board.<\/h4>\n

Utrecht, March 26th, 2021 \u2013 Professor Ren\u00e9 Castelein and dr. Kornelis Poelstra have joined the medical advisory board of MRI Guidance. In this position they will assist the team with their experience and network to successfully roll out MRI Guidance\u2019 product BoneMRI in the field of spine and orthopedic surgery in both the EU and the US. BoneMRI has recently been granted access to the EU market with its CE certification and is currently under review for FDA approval in the US.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Prof. Castelein<\/strong>
\nProf. Castelein<\/a> is a professor of orthopedic surgery and former chairman of the department of orthopedic surgery at the University Medical Center Utrecht, The Netherlands. He is internationally renowned for his work on idiopathic scoliosis. Castelein has been involved with the team at MRI Guidance from the invention of BoneMRI. \u201cSince I first saw the earliest BoneMRI images, I was convinced that this would have a big impact on orthopedics\u201d says Castelein. \u201cHaving all necessary information in one imaging modality without exposing my patients to radiation is a game changer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dr. Poelstra <\/strong>
\nAs founder of the Robotic Spine Institutes of Las Vegas and Silicon Valley, Dr. Poelstra<\/a> is the world\u2019s most experienced surgeon in the field of robotic spine procedures. Besides being an outstanding surgeon, dr. Poelstra is an innovator and has brought many advancements in the spinal care field. Poelstra: \u201cWith BoneMRI, the efficacy of the pre-planning process directly on my synthetic CT derived from the MRI, without having to acquire a separate Spine-CT for my robotic reconstruction cases is greatly improved. It reduces table time and radiation and many risks associated with even the most complex spinal surgery. I am very excited to be part of this evolution.\u201d Dr. Poelstra has been living and working in the US since 1998.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
